Young Minds in Action: Voices without Borders

Get ready for an exciting year with Young Minds CAMP! We're partnering with UNICEF to create a space where children and young people can talk and share their ideas for the ASEAN Mid-Term Review of the Regional Plan of Action on the Rights of Children in the Context of Migration (RPA-CCM). This review looks at how well countries are protecting the rights of children affected by migration. Your voices will help shape how the plan can work better for all children.
A big thank you to Terres des Hommes Germany and other partners for supporting children's participation in this important journey!
Five Days of Awesome!

Guess what? We've packed 5 whole days full of fun, learning, and exciting activities just for you! This isn't just any camp – it's a place where you'll gain cool new skills, share your amazing ideas, and connect with other bright young leaders from all over. Every day will bring something new and exciting! This is our plan for all the fun activities. If anything changes, we'll let you know right away!

Day 0 (June 20)
Hello, YMC Friends!
Get ready for a fantastic day at Young Minds CAMP! After you arrive and check into your room, the evening kicks off with our special Friendship Night. You'll play fun games, make new friends, and learn about your important rights, all before getting ready for more adventures tomorrow!
Day 1 (June 21)
Discover Your Inner Leader!
Vision
A day of discovery and big ideas awaits! After a yummy breakfast, we'll start with exciting activities to explore who you are and what you dream of. The afternoon is all about learning to take action and design your own plan to make a difference!

Day 2 (June 22)
Share Your Story,
Make a Difference!
Get ready for a special day where we’ll dive into the experiences of children in the context of migration. We’ll explore how moving from one place to another connects with access to basic needs like food, nutrition, and health. Through painting, sharing stories, and crafting your own recommendations and statements, you’ll help show what children need to be safe, healthy, and supported — wherever they are.
Day 3 (June 23)
Become a Super Storyteller!
Today is all about using your voice in powerful ways! You’ll start with an Amazing Race that introduces you to child-led research. Next, you’ll explore Mobile Journalism (MoJo) and learn how to use your phone to capture stories through your own eyes.
MoJo helps you:
-
Share your life, dreams, and ideas
-
Speak up for your community
-
Inspire change through your stories!

Day 4 (June 24)
A Day at the United Nations!
An amazing adventure to the United Nations awaits! You'll travel to a very special place to watch grown-ups discuss important ways to protect every child's identity. We’ll be joining a special side event led by children at the 3rd Asia-Pacific Ministerial Conference on Civil Registration and Vital Statistics (CRVS). The day ends with a fun Cultural Night where you can share traditions and celebrate new friendships!
Day 5 (June 25)
Pitch Day: Young Minds, Big Moves!
Today, your wonderful ideas will shine! You'll spend the morning in a planning session, bringing all your week's learning together to make your ideas and action plans super strong. Then, get ready for "Pitch Time: Spotlight on Young Minds!" where you'll share your brilliant work with everyone, including special guests!
